![]() Photo by: National Park Service The Kartchner Caverns were reportedly discovered by two explorers in 1974, but was kept secret amongst a small group of people for years. Between April and October, you have to reserve a permit to visit the area. The trail is four miles each way and changes in grade. More than 20,000 gallons of 70-degree water flow each hour, according to the National Park Service. It's a hot tourist attraction locally for its majestic trails and waterfalls. Photo by: Sedona Chamber In the early 1900s, Slide Rock State Park was a 43-acre apple farm in northern Arizona's Oak Creek Canyon. Looking for an easy hike? Bell Rock is one to try. There are also commercialized jeep tours that can take you along some of the trails. Sedona has several trails that take you through the red rocks, vortexes, and patches of green. The rocks get its color from the iron oxide. It also provides one of the most picturesque landscapes with its famous red rocks. Sedona, Arizona is a whimsical and eclectic town in northern Arizona.
